Ate Day, Emma and Cocoy are here!

It’s been so busy since Ate Day arrived with her kids. They are both so adorable! Ate Day my eldest sister. “Ate” means older sister here in The Philippines. I have an Ate Day and Ate May. I am Ate to my younger brother Gerry.

They flew in at 1041AM via Korean airlines. It must’ve been tiring for Ate Day to be trvelling with Emma, who’s 4 and Cocoy, who’s 2. But when I saw her – she looked so happy to be here with us. You see, even if she lives half way around the world. We are all very close. Some even say we are too close. We ask for each others opinions for anything. We just call to say “I’m at the grocery right now and I just thought of you.” We argue over the littlest thing and we hug each other after. And WE like it that way.

Here are just some of what we’ve been doing these past 2 days…

Visiting Apo from the airport.

First dinner out at The Block.

Having a grand time “cooking” their own dinner!

NO, we did not plan to dress up all the same way. WE’RE SISTERS THAT’s ALL.

Schyler’s first time “WALKING” @ The Block. He looks so big!

Thank you for reading. Until, my next adventure!

Only in Quezon City Hall.

leave a comment »

Guess where this picture was taken? In Quezon City Hall! And the irony of it all is this said municipality is one of the most corrupt in the National Capital Region. My sister, May – had to fall in line for 5 hours just to pay for a building permit at the cashier! Ate May had to make the necessary connections so it would NEVER happen again.

And aside from the long lines – the people who work there must LOVE to play Pinball and Pingpong. They absolutely love passing a simple inquiry from one person to one department to one floor and one building to another. You want to lose weight and practice your virtue of patience? Just go to the Quezon City Hall.

This may sound so bad – but I bet, that the people who put that poster the size of a humpback whale – could’ve just placed photos of themselves. Instead of using a crocodile who just happens to look as bad as them! Only in Quezon City Hall.
