Weekend at Malabon.

We drove to Malabon from the South last Saturday morning. D left the house that same day before the sun came up, looking like Wolverine with “Linda” for a weekend adventure with the flying hazmats.

I have been feeling under the weather for the past 3 days now. However, Sky, Ate Ging and I still managed to go out with my folks to SM North Edsa for a quick lunch. I only had Hototai soup (Mixed vegetables with egg in chicken or beef broth). Technically, I feel just fine – EXCEPT when my stomach gets upset. So, I took it easy with the food intake. So despite the occasional excruciating pain – I was still in a jolly mood around Sky.

We were back in the house right after, on account of my need to be near the loo :D

Come Sunday morning, Ate Ging went out for her day-off. Good thing I was feeling a little better. Being alone with Sky was just okay. We heard mass and headed off to Trinoma for a quick romp around the mall and lunch. Today was the eve of the Chinese New Year, and I was hoping that Sky will get to see Lion and Dragon dances – and he did! And he was in awe the whole performance. After clapping at the end he said “Dwagon, B-I-I-I-G!” in a loud voice. :)

Just went around the packed mall for a couple of hours – until I called it a day.

Sky and I slept most in the afternoon. To keep myself a little busy, I took some shots around my childhood home. The “Ate’s” were on their day-off too, so Papa helped out Mama with preparing dinner that night of Sinigang na Hipon. It was endearing to see them both at work in the kitchen.

Tomorrow we’re heading back home and hopefully I’m all better by then. Hope you all had a great weekend and wishing you a fruitful week ahead! :D

  1. Hi, Gigi! I hope you’re feeling better now. My son also enjoyed the Lion and Dragon dances when we went to the mall last Saturday. He even wanted to follow the performers as they make their rounds among the different stores. By the way, nice pics here. And Sky’s growing up to be a very cute boy!

Hi! Thanks… I was just fixing our stuff when I saw him already INSIDE my laptop bag… He was shouting “I’M SHTUCK!, I’M SHTUCK! MOOMMYY!”… I took a photo right before I helped him out of the bag…
